1. CCTV Cameras play a major role in deducting criminal events and recording activities in an area, including movement of criminals during day/night time. 10th Ward of Prakash Nagar is such area where the police does not have any CCTV Coverage. A meeting was held by NCCHWO Members under State Head Mr Daniel, Acting President Mr Janagi Raman , Senior Vice President Udhayachandran , Distt President Ganeshan Chandrasekhar and Distt Gen Secy Ms Raja Rajeshwari. It was decided to execute a useful project to strengthen the hands of Law Enforcing agencies by donating CCTV Cameras ,to be fitted at Ward 10, Prakash Nagar. The donation for four CCTV Cameras were sponsered by Mr Ganeshan and Ms Raja Rajeshwari. For better utilization and crime deduction ,the Cameras were to be handed over to Thiruninravur Police Station after installation.
2. An event was held at 10th Ward where the NCCHWO invited police Assistance Commissioner Mr Sadhavisam as Chief Guest. From Thiruninravur Police, Inspector Law and order Mr Radhakrishnan, Inspector Crime Mr Muthukumar and Sub Inspectir Mr Kumar were invitedas special guests.Mr Daniel Prabhakaran and other officials of NCCHWO were present for the event.
3.During the public function, the people were given information on the benefits of CCTV . Police officials informed on importance of close liasion and nexus between public and police to reduce crime in the area . All citizens must be alert and proactive and report any suspicious move of unknown persons in the area, to avoid any notorious activities. Assistant Commisioner of Police, Inspector of Police (Law and Order and Crime), NCCHWO State President, NCCHWO Tiruvallur District President- Tamilnadu, NCCHWO Tiruvallur District General Secretary addressed the audience to impress upon need of close liasion and creating awareness in the common public. The police is meant to serve the public and ensure their safety, for which support of public will bring down crime rate in the area.The role played and initiative taken by NCCHWO in this direction was greatly appreciated.
