Many soldiers sacrifice their life in the course of their duty. Terrorism is a cheaper version of Warfare, used by the adversaries, where soldiers are paying a heavy price by laying down their life, while defending the motherland from nefarious designs of our adversaries. NCCHWO has started Project NAMAN, where citizens adopt the families of Martyres, to keep a close liasion with these family members. Many NGOs have come forward to support NCCHWO in this noble cause.
Members of Inner Wheel Club, Jammu , represented by the President Gurvinder Kaur visited family members of Veer Nari Sudarshan Kour, at Bari Brahamana, Jammu. Her Husband , Hav Ranjit Singh, was decorated with Gallantary award, Sena Medal , when he was Martyred at Surankot on 2 August 1999 , while fighting Terrorists.
Veer Nari Sudarshan Kour has been adopted by Ms Sharda Sharma. Ms Rama Jamwal from IWC also graced the occassion. Brig Harcharan Singh, National Administrator of NCCHWO lead the team and inquired about problems ,if any, being faced by Veer Nari. Issues requiring attention will be brought to the notice of the concerned authorities. The family was appreciative about the help received from various Govt Deptts and the support rendered by the Army, from time to time. The citizens were proud to meet the family members of martyred soldier and the Veer Nari, who are pride of our Nation. NCCHWO has plans to visit many more families of Martyred soldiers in near future.
