A programme has been started by NCCHWO in J&K to adopt families of Veer Naris under Project NAMAN. Citizens visit houses of Veer Naris for first hand interaction with the family members. This visit is made with a great sense of pride, an opportunity to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the soldiers.
A visit was made to Veer Nari Tevinder Kaur. Her Husband Nk Sukhjeet Singh gave supreme sacrifice during fierce attack on Tololing, during Kargil War in 1999.
Brig Harcharan Singh National Administrator NCCHWO checked upon various welfare benefits availed by the family.Problem areas are brought to the notice of concerned authorities. He was accompanied by Ms Paramjit Kaur( President Women Empowerment Cell of NCCHWO). Ms Rama Jamwal from Inner Wheel Club Jammu has adopted this family. She felicitated the Veer Nari.These visits will continue to the families of other Veer Naris also, to exhibit solidarity of NCCHWO to our brave soldiers and Indian Army.
