NCCHWO believes in equality of gender. Many poor people try to get the female fetus aborted,as they cannot afford hospital bills. The efforts of Dr Ganesh Rakh encourages these people to go for delivery, saving life of an unborn girl child. To appreciate such a Noble Service, Brig Harcharan Singh, National Administrator NCCHWO and Mrs Paramjit Kaur, National President Women Empowerment Cell, NCCHWO visited Metropolis Hospital at Pune and felicitated Dr Ganesh Rakh and his initiative. Through his social service, his efforts have challenged social stigma around female births. He is combining the medical services with social movement to reaffirm the gender equality.
The NCCHWO has great respect for likes of Dr Ganesh Rakh, setting examples for other citizens. However NCCHWO will continue its efforts to change societal attitudes, with an aim to emphasizing the value of daughters and addressing the root causes like the dowry system and discrimination.
