NCCHWO, Karnataka conducted a free self defence program for female & Male Scouts & Guide students on the eve of *Armed Forces Flag Day* This program was organised session was lead by Dr. K.Vasanth Poovaiah, National Coordinator of Civil Defense Cell alongwith his student student Sensei Sumesh, National Gold Medalist & Sampai, Preksha Mahesh, she is national gold medalist & LLB. Students at Manipal College, Bangalore .
There were around 50 students and Teachers enrolled for the program out of self interest. The coaching took place at the Defodails School Basketball Ground.
The members were taught Armed forces Discipline Training & basic fitness exercises so that they can continue in their daily life and keep themselves fit and healthy, simple self defence techniques were taught, which will help them to keep themselves safe in the situation of need. What was more impressive was that a the members had good physical strength and showed a lot of interest in learning new techniques.
Brig Harcharan Singh informed that the Training Camp was held to celebrate Armed Forces Flag Day. This day is dedicated to honouring the soldiers and veterans of India's armed forces. Throughout the country small flags and car flags in red, deep blue and light blue colours representing the three Services are distributed in return for donations.
