At the recent Conference of Army Personnel held, members of the National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organisation (NCCHWO) had the proud privilege to meet and honour our Golden Member, Captain Bana Singh, Param Vir Chakra – the living legend of the Indian Army.
On this occasion, Dr. K. Vasantha Poovaiah, Karnataka State President, NCCHWO (Ex-Indian Army, Former NSG Black Cat Commando, 3 Madras Regiment) & State President, Civil Defence Cell, Karnataka, shared his heartfelt tribute:
"Captain Bana Singh is not just a name; he is a symbol of extraordinary courage, patriotism, sacrifice and the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army. His legendary bravery at Siachen Glacier, in extreme conditions of approximately –40°C, will forever remain an inspiration to generations of Indians.
As someone who has personally served at Siachen Glacier, I understand the hardships, challenges and sacrifices involved in serving our motherland at such extreme altitudes. Our respected Brig. Harcharan Singh Sahib, National Administrator, NCCHWO and I have also had the privilege of serving in those challenging conditions. Having experienced the difficulties of Siachen ourselves, we deeply understand the courage and determination required to serve there.
After Captain Bana Singh’s historic mission, we too had the opportunity to serve in that region as members of 3 Madras Regiment (Thagdas). These memories and experiences will always remain close to our hearts."
On behalf of all members of NCCHWO, Dr. Vasantha extended heartfelt congratulations, deepest respect and a proud salute to Captain Bana Singh and prayed for his good health, happiness and prosperity.
Brig. Harcharan Singh, National Administrator, NCCHWO, also conveyed his profound respect for Captain Bana Singh.

जम्मू-कश्मीर में आयोजित भारतीय सेना के सम्मेलन के दौरान, नेशनल करप्शन कंट्रोल एंड ह्यूमन वेलफेयर ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (NCCHWO) के सदस्यों को अपने गोल्डन मेंबर, भारतीय सेना के जीवंत नायक कैप्टन बाना सिंह, परमवीर चक्र से मिलने और उन्हें सम्मानित करने का गौरवशाली अवसर प्राप्त हुआ।
इस अवसर पर कर्नाटक प्रदेश अध्यक्ष, डॉ. के. वसंथा पूवैया (पूर्व भारतीय सेना, पूर्व NSG ब्लैक कैट कमांडो, 3 मद्रास रेजिमेंट) एवं प्रदेश अध्यक्ष, सिविल डिफेंस सेल, कर्नाटक ने अपने उद्गार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा:
"कैप्टन बाना सिंह सिर्फ एक नाम नहीं, बल्कि असाधारण साहस, देशभक्ति, बलिदान और भारतीय सेना की अदम्य भावना के प्रतीक हैं। लगभग -40 डिग्री सेल्सियस की चरम परिस्थितियों में सियाचिन ग्लेशियर पर उनकी पौराणिक वीरता पीढ़ियों के लिए प्रेरणा बनी रहेगी।
सियाचिन ग्लेशियर पर स्वयं सेवा देने के कारण, मैं ऐसी चरम ऊंचाई और कड़ाके की ठंड में मातृभूमि की सेवा करने की कठिनाइयों और बलिदानों को भली-भांति समझता हूं। हमारे आदरणीय ब्रिगेडियर हरचरण सिंह साहिब, राष्ट्रीय प्रशासक, NCCHWO और मैंने भी उन चुनौतीपूर्ण परिस्थितियों में सेवा की है। सियाचिन की कठिनाइयों को स्वयं अनुभव करने के बाद, हम वहां सेवा करने के लिए आवश्यक साहस और दृढ़ संकल्प को गहराई से समझते हैं।
> कैप्टन बाना सिंह के ऐतिहासिक मिशन के बाद, हमें भी 3 मद्रास रेजिमेंट (थागदास) के सदस्य के रूप में उस क्षेत्र में सेवा करने का अवसर मिला। ये यादें और अनुभव हमेशा हमारे दिलों के करीब रहेंगे।"
NCCHWO के सभी सदस्यों की ओर से, डॉ. वसंथा ने कैप्टन बाना सिंह को हार्दिक बधाई, गहरा सम्मान और गर्व भरा सलाम प्रेषित किया तथा उनके और उनके परिवार के उत्तम स्वास्थ्य, सुख-समृद्धि की कामना की।
ब्रिगेडियर हरचरण सिंह, राष्ट्रीय प्रशासक, NCCHWO ने भी कैप्टन बाना सिंह के प्रति अपना गहरा सम्मान व्यक्त किया।
NCCHWO को गर्व है कि भारत माँ का ऐसा वीर सपूत उसका गोल्डन मेंबर है।
