Nation will never forget its Martyres : Brig Harcharan Singh, NCCHWO

Kargil Conflict took place in 1999. The Nation paid a heavy price while evicting the Pakistanis from Indian soil, with a sacrifice of 527 soldiers, who gave their life while pushing back  Pakistani intruders, wheras another 1363 soldiers were injured. Nk Sukhjit had sacrificed his life at Kaksar Sector, in an intense battle with enemy. To pay homage to the soldier , a  special programme was held at Akhnoor, Jammu, today by his wife Tavinder Kaur .

A large number of relatives and Ex Servicemen gathered in large number , to remember the story of bravery and saga of valour of the soldier. National Administrator of "National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organisation" told the gathering that their is a requirement to include the stories of valour of our soldiers in the text books to motivate the young generation.

After the death of the soldier , the family is left alone. The members of the society must visit these families to pay  respect to bravery of our soldiers. In this regard, NCCHWO has started adopting the families of Veer Naris, under Project NAMAN,  to provide much needed psychological support to the family and to give Career Counselling to their children. Mrs Rama Jamwal from Inner Wheel  Club, Jammu Tawi, was also present. She  has adopted family of Ms Tavinder Kaur. NCCHWO is trying to connect the society with families of Veer Naris, through the process of adoption. An awareness campaign has been started by NCCHWO, to motivate various NGOs to join Project NAMAN, which is a tribute to sacrifices of our soldiers. Every year members of NCCHWO attend may such programmes to express their solidarity with the families of Martyres.
