Navratan Foundations is a Registered organization which works for uplifting of Unseen Talent. For the past 23 years, it holds a Felicitation programme, with the support of 15 renowned NGOs ,to honour Social Workers of India, who motivate others through selfless service and for their exemplary contribution in various fields.
An impressive function was held at NEA Bhawan NOIDA, on 11 May 2025, in the presence of renowned Social workers and imminent personalities. Brig Harcharan was honored with "Special Social Award" for contribution to Society, for planning various Welfare Projects and their Visionary execution, which has made positive impact on the lives of many citizens, specially Youth, Veer Naris and Disabled Soldiers.
Brig Harcharan Singh is associated with War Wounded Foundation, where he has worked in the States/UTs of J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Chandigarh. With the help of Army, Disabled Soldiers have been identified, who
sustained injuries and were Disabled, during active operations against enemy or Terrorists. Brig Harcharan Singh carried out active liaison with these soldiers and identified the beneficiaries of various Welfare Schemes run by WWF. Brig Harcharan Singh also organized events, for interaction of War Wounded Soldiers with Citizens/Youth.
Through his association with another Organisation, National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization, he carried out Social Welfare activities connected with Veer Naris and underprivileged Women. A social obligation scheme was started under Project NAMAN, wherein Veer Naris were adopted by citizens. Various programs were conceptualized, where Youth participated in events to honor Veer Naris, Decorated Soldiers and War Wounded Soldiers. Marathon races and Cycling Rallies were conducted, on special days, in memory of the Decorated Soldiers and to salute the bravery of Martyrs.
Awareness campaigns
were held to educate masses about various subjects related to Drug Menace, Environmental protection, health, Global warming ,spreading awareness about own rich history/Culture/Women Empowerment, Self Defense classes, helping Widows/Aged and Underprivileged section, and many other fields.
Brig Harcharan Singh thanked Navratan Organization for the Award, which was made possible due to support of the WWF and NCCHWO. He also thanked local organizations and NGOs of J&K and other states, who are active participants of the programmes run by WWF and NCCHWO. He made a special mention of Indian Army, which has always supported the Veterans and Veer Naris. He appealed the audience to educate the youth about the glorious history and role played by the soldiers in Nation building and sacrifices made by them to uphold our democratic values.
