A free self defence Camp was conducted for female students in Government College Shakarnagar Bangalore. The program was coordinated by the Principal of Government College, Mr Venu Gopal. National Coordinator (Self Defence Cell) Kyoshi K Vasanth conducted the training session, along with his team. Dr. Vasantha is also the President NCCHWO (Karnataka)
50 students attended the Camp, held at the College ground .
The members were taught skills of basic physical fitness exercises and simple self defence techniques. Dr Vasantha explained that their may be certain situations, where the Women may have to protect themselves from Anti Social elements.The basic techniques of Self Defence will save them in emergencies, where no other help is available.
The Principal ,Mr Venu Gopal congratulated the team of NCCHWO for the Camp, which would make the Students Self confident. He said that many girls have taken up Self Defence Sports as a hobby and represented the country in Internation Games. NCCHWO will train such Students free of cost ,where talented girls can represent their country at International level, making their family proud of their achievements.
The Central leadership of NCCHWO appreciated the selfless services and initiative taken by Team Karnataka under the leadership of Dr Vasantha.The Women are making India proud in many events , ranging from efficient House Makers to SportWomen/Administrator/Scientists/Soldiers, and many other fields.
