1. An outing was organized by Army for the inmates of Old Age Home Amphalla, Jammu . It was a welcome exposure for 35 inmates , who are generally confined within the four walls of the Old Age Home. A special screening of a Movie was organized for the audience by the Army at Nagrota. Senior Citizens, Members of AWWA of White Knight Corps, members of NCCHWO and Old Age Home attended the event.
2. Indian Society has seen a change in traditional systems, values and Joint Family System. Many families shift the parents to Old Age Home. These Old Citizens are looked after well, but they miss the company of close relatives and children of the families.To provide company and psychological support to the inmates of Old Age Home ,many NGOs and members of society visit them often , as part of Service to Man Kind.
3. A request was made by Mr ID Soni President Old Age Home and Brig Harcharan Singh, National Administrator NCCHWO to AWWA ( White Knight Corps ) Nagrota, to organize an outing for the Inmates of Old Age Home. Accordingly, an interaction was organized by the Army for the Senior Citizens, to include transportation of inmates to Nagrota, Screening of a movie and interaction by children and ladies from Army.On behalf of Old Age Home , Brig Harcharan Singh thanked President AWWA, White Knight Corps, for the kind gesture of inviting the Senior Citizens and providing them a homely atmosphere. The coordination of programme was done by Sh Giat Nandan Jain (Sr Vice President NCCHWO). Mrs Kalpana coordinated on behalf of AWWA.
