1.Through their dedication and sacrifices, the soldiers ensure that the flame of freedom is kept alive. The death of a soldier puts a family under mental stress and trauma. To give the feeling of extended family to Veer Naris and to provide psychological support, Project NAMAN was started for adoption of Veer Naris by Brig Harcharan Singh, under the flag of National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organisation.
2.First time ever, a programme for Adoption of Veer Naris was carried out for Veer Naris, at Terrorism hit area of Srinagar also. The adoption was carried out under the initiative of Distt 307 Chaiman of Inner Wheel, Mrs Manmohan . The idea for Adoption was taken up by President Inner Wheel Club Jammu Tawi, Mrs Paramjit Kaur with Distt Chairman IW Distt 307. Ms Manmohan Suri decided to support the Veer Naris for the marriage of their daughters. Also , it was decided to train children of Veer Naris in IT Sector/CAD ,to help provide these children with suitable employment.
3.The programme was attended by Brig Harcharan Singh and NCCHWO Members, Senior Army Officers, Association President IW Ms Sunita Jain, Ms Manmohan Suri, Paramjit Kour and Jaswinder Singh, President RC ,Gorayya, amongst others. The SKICC hall ,Srinagar revibrated with applause for Veer Naris, a testimony to recognition of sacrifices made by the Soldiers. Brig Harcharan Singh explained the concept of Project NAMAN and gave out saga of sacrifice of soldiers, Who Gave Their Tomarrow for our Today.He called upon citizens to visit Veer Naris and provide guidance to their children. The participation of Army Personals, IW Family and Rotary Club Gorayya in the programme was highly appreciated. Very heart touching speeches were given by Ms Manmohan Suri followed by Ms Sunita Jain. They assured their support in future also, for all projects connected with Soldiers and their families .The Auditorium rattled with applause, when Veer Naris were felicitated by Inner Wheel . The narration of stories of sacrifices made every eye moist . The organizers from Inner Wheel also felicitated Brig Harcharan Singh,National Administrator NCCHWO, for his spectacular services for welfare of Veer Naris through Project NAMAN.
4.Vote of Thanks was delivered by Jaswinder Singh. Thanking all present ,he said that it is a matter of pride to prepare children of Veer Naris for suitable employment and to participate in marriage ceremony of their daughters.
5.Paramjit Kaur (President, Women Empowerment Cell), Gurvinder Kaur and Suresh Bala from NCCHWO were also present. Stage was managed by Gurvinder Kaur.
National Chief Secretary Ranjeet Verma thanks to associated organisations to join hands with NCCHWO for this Noble project and appreciate the activities of Brig Harcharan Singh and team.
