A meeting was held with CDS, Gen Anil Chauhan to discuss welfare projects planned for Disabled Soldiers and Veer Naris by reputed NGOs.Brig Harcharan Singh is associated with War Wounded Foundation, which looks after welfare projects of War Disabled Soldiers, as Director North. The welfare of Veer Naris is looked after through another Organisation, National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization. CDS was apprised about the ongoing projects of both Organisations
Gen Anil Chauhan appreciated the efforts of the Organisations to reach out to Disabled Soldiers and Veer Naris. Gen Anil Chauhan had attended a Mega ESM Rally at Akhnoor in Jan 2025 where Scooters and Auto Rikshaws, sponsered by War Wounded Foundation were handed over by the RM Sh Rajnath Singh.
Gen Anil Chauhan accepted participation in a ESM Rally,to be held in near future, where 20 Scooters will be presented to Disabled Soldiers from far flung areas. Brig Harcharan Singh briefed the CDS on Project Naman, being run by NCCHWO, wherein, the families of Veer Naris are adopted by members of the NGO. It aims to provide psychological support to these families and to guide their children for studies and professional Career.
Gen Anil Chauhan appreciated efforts of members of the Society, who support the Soldiers and Veer Naris through various projects. He assured all the help to resolve cases concerning Soldiers and their families. Brig Harcharan Singh thanked the CDS on behalf of both the Organisations and ESM fraternity for the compassion and proactive approach.
