A Karate Academic Belt Grading Examination was organized on the school campus at K.M. Doddi through the joint effort of Vidyavihar International School and National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organisation.
The programme was inaugurated by NCCHWO National Coordinator Civil Defense Cell (retired Black Cat Commando) Dr. K. Vasanth Poovayya. Speaking on the occasion, he said that karate builds courage and a spirit of bravery in children. Karate helps women move freely and confidently without fear.
He explained that to achieve progress in karate training, it is essential to use the correct techniques while performing punches and kicks. Such skills can be developed only through regular practice and self-discipline.
He further stated that karate classes are different from regular school sports, as they are available throughout the year. This allows children to continuously improve their skills through year-round self-discipline training. With consistent karate practice, children become more disciplined and are able to perfect their techniques faster.
Karate is not just a sport, but a way of life that involves both physical and mental challenges. It requires complete dedication of both mind and body from a practitioner. As a result, the self-discipline developed through karate training extends to other areas of a child’s life.
