A Girls’ Awareness Program on Self-Defence, Fitness, and Advanced Training is being conducted through regular classes at Nihan Goju-Ryu Sports Karate Academy and Vasanth Martial Arts Academy, organized by the National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization (NCCHWO), Karnataka.

The National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization (NCCHWO) conducts various programs to train women to become self-sufficient and to develop new skills. The objective of this initiative is to educate, empower, and inspire young girls, thereby building a brighter future for every girl. Teaching self-defence skills empowers girls to face challenges such as eve-teasing and other social issues.

As part of this initiative, a free regular training camp for girls is being conducted at Vasanth Martial Arts Academy (Headquarters) under the guidance of Dr. K. Vasanth Poovaiah, President, National Coordinator, and State President (Karnataka).

This program is conducted on a daily basis. Today marked the fifth day of training for the students of the JC Nagar Government School. On this fifth day, basic karate movements and Light Advanced course training were commenced as part of the continuing martial arts program.

Today’s fifth-day class was held at Government PU College, JC Nagar, Bangalore, with the participation of 20–25 students.

During the session, Dr. K. Vasanth Poovaiah trained the students in basic self-defence movements and initiated them into Light Advanced level techniques, along with guidance on basic physical fitness exercises, helping students stay fit and maintain good health.
