Every year, on 26 January and 15 August ,a "At Home" function is held at Lok Bhawan by Lt Governer of J&K. Prominent Citizens are invited ,along with Veer Naris ,Decorated Soldiers and Veterans. On 26 Jan, a function was held at Lok Bhawan Jammu, where Brig Harcharan Singh, National Administrator NCCHWO and Ramnik Singh, Treasurer NCCHWO, J&K were invited.
In the presence of Director Sainik Welfare Department, Lt Governor Sh Manoj Sinha and CM Sh Omar Abdullah interacted with Veer Naris. Brig Harcharan Singh made special mention of certain problems of Veer Naris and to Lt Governor and requested for an exclusive appointment to brief him on certain issues connected with Veer Naris/Widows. Already, NCCHWO is working on Welfare related issues concerning Veer Naris of J&K. Meeting with Lt Governor will solve many problems being faced by Veer Naris.
Lt Governor and the CM assured of all the possible help for the Veer Naris. The Nation is grateful for the contributions and sacrifices made by our Martyres, while defending the borders.
Brig Harcharan Singh informed that a major event is being planned for Veer Naris in near future.
