National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organisation launched a Free Self-Defence Training Program for 1st PUC and 2nd PUC students. It was successfully inaugurated and conducted at Government College, Shivajinagar, Bengaluru, as part of an initiative to promote safety awareness, physical fitness, discipline, and self-confidence among students.
The training session was led by Dr. Vasanth (Poovaiah.Ex-Army and NSG Black Cat Commando), who is currently serving as the National Coordinator and Karnataka State President of the National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization.
During the session, students were introduced to the importance of self-defence in today’s society, along with practical techniques that can help them respond confidently and effectively in difficult situations. The program included warm-up exercises, basic fitness activities, self-defence movements, and awareness about personal safety.
Approximately 60 to 80 students actively participated in the first training session. The enthusiasm, discipline, and eagerness displayed by the students were highly encouraging and reflected the growing need for such educational and empowerment programs in academic institutions.
Dr. Vasanth Poovaiah expressed his sincere gratitude to the Principal, teaching faculty, and students of Government College, Shivajinagar, for their wholehearted support and cooperation. Owing to the overwhelming response received from the students, it has been decided to continue the Self-Defence Training Program on a weekly basis throughout the academic year.
The initiative aims to equip young students, especially girls, with the confidence, awareness, and practical skills necessary for personal safety and self-protection. Such programs also contribute to building physical fitness, mental strength, leadership qualities, and social responsibility among youth.
The National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization remains committed to conducting meaningful social welfare, youth development, and empowerment programs across the country for the benefit of society.
