SR Prime International School,
Vignan Nagar, Bengaluru held Investiture Ceremony. The newly elected School Head, House Captains and members of Student Council were presented Appointment Badges. The School Management invited Brig Harcharan Singh (National Administrator) as Chief Guest and Dr Vasantha (State Head Karnataka) as Guest of Honor for the function. The theme of the the Function was leadership and motivating students.
After according a traditional welcome to the guests the Function started with National Song and lighting of the Lamp. Impressive March Past and Band display was highlight of the programme. Newly elected members of School Council were presented with Badges of Appointment.
In his address Brig Harcharan Singh impressed upon the students that youth continue to take on the reins of the country, as the older generation fades away. The country has high hopes from the generation next, who will toil to ensure, India is catapulted to the position of a new Super Power, in the times to come. He explained the essence of leadership traits and urged students to follow the path of honesty, discipline, dedication and commitment.
He insisted that the rich Indian Traditions and glorious history should be always remembered to draw inspiration from the great leaders and correct the mistakes of the past. He explained that the invaders used Divide and Rule to subdue Indians in the past, and hence, we must rise above the petty differences to make India great. He explained that, the sense of unity and brotherhood is ingrained in Indian Soldiers. They put the interest and honor of Country first, Always and Everytime. Students must keep themselves aware about the developments in World arena and educate others also. The Tiranga and Indian Constitution are sacred Symbols, which should be respected with pride. He also urged School to include Self Defence classes for Girl Students.
Dr Vasantha urged the students that we all are Indians first. No one should be able to divide us on the basis of Caste or Creed. He urged students to work hard and serve the Nation with dedication in the field of their liking ,eg, as Soldiers, Doctors, Judges, Politicians, Administrative Services, Farmers, Businessmen etc. He thanked the Principal for conceiving such a idea, with Patriotic theme.
The Function concluded with Vote of Thanks followed by recital of National Anthem. Jai Hind.
