It was sacrifices of our ancestors that India gained independent in 1947. Continuous and ongoing sacrifices of soldiers ensures that the country retains its freedom. To express gratitude to the Soldiers, members of National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organisation paid visit to the houses of Veer Mata/Veer Naris. To start with, a plant was presented to the families of Bravehearts. Plants are a symbol of growth, life, sacrifice and progress. Plants were handed over to Veer Mata Veena Jasrotia, Veer Nari Savitri Devi and Veer Nari Tavinder Kaur. In second part of the plan, Tree Plantation will be carried out by members of NCCHWO at Maj Ajay Jasrotia Park, Sainik Colony. Also, War Wounded /Decorated Soldiers will be honoured at Maj Ajay Jasrotia Park, during Tree Plantation. This park symbolizes a sacred place ,which motivates the youth to make ultimate sacrifice for the country, if required.
The team was lead by Brig Harcharan Singh, Ms Paramjit Kaur and Ms Gurvinder Kaur. The Plantation drive is being sponsered by Kyari , a Nursery from 'A' Sector of Sainik Colony.
Brig Harcharan Singh shared concern that the Maj Ajay Jasrotia Park at C Sector of Sainik Colony is not maintained well. Authorities at JMC are requested to honour our Bravehearts by ensuring, that Parks are treated like a sacred Monument, in order to motivate the visitors with saga of valo, sacrifice and bravery. Families of Martyres are regularly being visited by citizens ,under the banner of NCCHWO, to express the solidarity of citizens with our Veer Families.
