On Flag Day, Army Chief felicitated Brig Harcharan Singh, as a token of recognition of conduct of welfare projects, for Veer Naris and War Wounded Soldiers.
As part of NCCHWO, a number of programmes have been initiated to address problems of Veer Naris. Citizens are being associated in events, where gratitude is expressed towards Veer Naris,Decorated Soldiers, War Wounded Soldiers, through Rallies/Marathon Runs/Cycle Rallies/Public felicitation programmes. Project NAMAN, has been initiated, wherein, families of Veer Naris are adopted by citizens, to provide them psychological support and guide their children.
Through another NGO,( War Wounded Foundation) ,Soldiers are helped with scooters/AutoRikshaw/Wheelchairs. Financial help is given for the daughters marriage.
Selfless efforts of Brig Harcharan Singh were appreciated by Gen Upendra Dwivedi in a function at Udhampur.Brig Harcharan Singh said, it is a matter of honor that he could help the ESM and Veer Naris through two NGOs. He added that this was possible due to support of Army, who are always ready to come forward to provide assistance to the ESM/Veer Naris.
National Chief Secretary Ranjeet Verma congratulated Brig. Harcharan Singh and said that we are feeling proud that a soldier like him is a part of our Organisation. National Chairman Deepak Sharma and President Ms. Rekha Bhooshan also congratulated the National Administrator.
