An Honor for Member of NCCHWO-- Selected by DLSA, Kulgam,J&K

Indian Armed Forces liberated the area around Kargil Sector from  illegal occupation of Pakistan.  We celebrate 26 July as Kargil Vijay. This day was celebrated in a special manner in Srinagar,.under the arrangements of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA Veer Parivar Sahatata  Yojna 2025). The programme was graced by Sh Justice Surya Kant , from Supreme Court and various Dignitaries from Centre Govt, State Govt and Army.

The programme ws part of special drive, of J&K Govt to ensure provision of fast track free legal Aid to Veer Naris, through District Legal Services Authorities( DLSA). Para Legal Volunteers were appointed by DLSA for all Distts of J&K. Incidently, on the  request of NCCHWO National Administrator Brig Harcharan Singh, two years back, the then Chief Justice of J&K had sanctioned provisions of free legal Aid for Veer Naris in J&K.

It was a matter of pride for NCCHWO ,as it's Golden Member, Veer Nari Ruby Bano was appointed as Para Legal Volunteer for Kulgam Distt of Kashmir, based on her merit. She was selected for this post by the Govt, to honor her husband, LNk Mukhtiar Ahmed Malik, who sacrificed his life in the Line of Duty. Mrs Ruby Bano is known for her  commitment and  dedication to serve the Veer Naris and take up their cases to appropriate authorities for resolution.

It was with her help that Brig Harcharan Singh conducted a programme to adopt ten  Veer Naris from Kashmir in year 2024,under Project NAMAN. This was first ever initiative by any organization to take such initiative in Kashmir Valley. She has been honored with prestigious AWWA Award also, for her dedication and services.

The NCCHWO Family is proud of Ms Ruby Bano, who has devoted herself for  the service of Veer Naris ,in the true spirit of ''Service Before Self". She has also  been actively involved in delivering Motivational Talks in Schools , to guide students towards Nationalistic values and Ethos.

  1. On behalf of the entire Veer Nari's of Jammu and Kashmir, I thank the Government of Jammu and Kashmir due to whom the provision of free legal advise has been made. We are also grateful to the NCCHWO who raised this case in the beginning.
