Today is the Birth day of two legends "MAHATMA GANDHI AND LAL BAHADUR SHASHTRI" National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organisation Salute them on their Birth Anniversary.
Let us remember the life of Mahatma Gandhi :
Gandhi Jayanti which is celebrated on October 2nd every year, marks the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi . This year, Gandhi Jayanti will commemorate the 155th birthday of the father of the nation. However, it is one of the national holidays in India and is recognised worldwide as the International Day of Non-Violence , since it honors the peaceful and non-violent legacy of Gandhi Ji. Mahatma Gandhi was born as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on October 2 , 1869, in Porbandar, in the state of Gujarat. He was the son of a minor nobleman in the princely family of Porbandar. Mahatma Gandhi eventually became the crucial protagonist of India's freedom struggle against Britain. He was a law student in London, who eventually travelled to South Africa where he first employed his civil disobedience in a non-violent way against racial discrimination against Indians, He began working on his philosophy of Satyagraha, or peaceful resistance in South Africa. Gandhi ji returned to India and became one of the crucial leaders of the Indian National Congress. He led some of the most important movements, like the Non-Cooperation Movement, Salt March, and Quit India Movement. His philosophy of peace protest and civil disobedience brought millions of Indians into action and weakened British control over India to a great extent. Non-violence and the efforts in which he introduced communal harmony and social reforms made him a legendary figure in Indian history. He was assassinated on January 30, 1948, by Nathuram Ghodse. His teachings remain an inspiration for movements seeking social justice around the globe. Gandhi Jayanti is a day for remembrance of the values that Mahatma Gandhi represented, truth, non-violence, simplicity, and self-reliance. His idea of passive resistance and belief in the strength of truth and non-violence-Ahimsa are as relevant to the present times. Conflicts and violence appear to characterize human affairs in much of the world. It also brings to mind the role played by Gandhi in the Indian independence movement . In advocating non-violence, he displaced an oppressive regime without having to fight a war. His message of universal peace and tolerance has been recognised worldwide. That is why, in 2007, the United Nations declared that October 2 would be considered as the International Day of Non-Violence.
Once again NCCHWO Salute to both the Legends on their Birthday.
